Partners in Recovery - "We've been there, we understand"
A Self-Help Support Group for anyone with a mental health diagnosis. In this group we will work to; Help restore dignity and sense of purpose for person who are working toward recovery. This group will offer fellowship positive support, and companionship in order to achieve good mental health. Help with improving our own attitudes about our lives and our diagnosis. We will provide members with the latest information on recovery. We will encourage members to take positive steps toward their recovery. 3-4 in the Wellness Center

Hoarding Groups
Overwhelmed by too much stuff? Do you have a large number of things in your home? Do you have difficulty organizing your things or deciding what to throw away? Does the volume of things in your home make it difficult to do everyday activities or affect your quality of life? If you answered yes to these questions, you may have hoarding behaviors.

The Creative Wellness Coalition will be hosting a support group for people who compulsively hoard and clutter and a separate support group for family members of people that have hoarding and cluttering issues. BOTH groups will begin Thursday, September 3, 2009 form 5pm - 7pm. The groups will run the first and third Thursday of the month at 320 N. Goodman Street.

First Friday
The Wellness Center will be open from 6pm - 9pm tonight. First Friday is a collaboration between non-profit, university, and commercial art venues in Rochester, NY. This initiative will showcase area artists and arts institutions by designating the First Friday evening of each month 6-9pm as a community night for experiencing art. First Friday will ensure a healthy art scene and a healthy city by encouraging regular exchange and discussion between venues, artists and patrons. First Friday was initiated by Rochester Contemporary Art Center.



March 6

MHA's 16th Annual Skyway Open
The MHA Skyway Open has become a one-of-a-kind, signature event in Rochester, drawing hundreds of people to downtown Rochester for a much-anticipated day of family-friendly fun on an indoor, 18-hole miniature golf course, all to benefit the Mental Health Association.

We’ve set the date. We’ve got the location. We’re getting excited! 16th Annual Skyway Open is coming and we hope you will join us to make it even better than ever. Please join us on March 5-6, 2010 at the Radisson Riverside Hotel.
