The Mental Health Coalition promotes empowerment through advocacy,
education, training and advancing the consumer voice.
The MHC provides a welcoming place where people meet to share ideas, and come together for trainings and support that promotes recovery. As an organization of recovering mental health participants, the Coalition is based on principles of self-help and empowerment. With in the MHC is the Creative and Wellness Center where we provide the following services:
Creative Art Co-op and Gallery
Bulletin Board Project
Trainings & Workshops
Impressions Gallery
Weekly Support Groups
Resource Library
MHC is part of the City Wide Gallery Night, a monthly citywide gallery night in Rochester NY that is a collaboration between non-profit, university, and commercial art venues. It takes place the first Friday evening of every month from 6:00-9:00pm. Doors are open for guests to visit and hopefully they find some great treasures to purchase from our Creative Art Co-op and Gallery. For more info go to www.rochestercontemporary.org
